Chris Bithell Takes Fourth at Loretta Lynns

Chris Bithell took fourth at the sixth round of the Grand National Cross Country series at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch in Tennessee.
Bithell got off the line and joined a three way battle for the lead. Bithell settled into the third spot for the first three laps. While run-ning in third he kept nose to tail with the leaders. He ran the fastest lap of the day on lap two, an impressive 20:52.985.

Bithell pitted mid way through the six lap race and took over the lead. Once in the lead, Bithell led the train of racers for two laps.

On the final lap, Bithell dropped back and crossed the check-ers in fourth place.

“I ran a good race, the quad was working awesome. My Pre-cision stabilizer and FOX / Walsh set up kept everything han-dling well and my Maxxis Tires hooked up everywhere. Although, con-sistency is good and I am happy to earn some points, fourth isn’t where I want to be. I plan to work even harder and come out at Masontown and put the #4 back on the box,” said Bi-thell.

Currently, he holds fourth in the XC1 with a large gap over the fifth position. Presently, he has only finished outside of the top four once and that was due to a me-chanical issue.
Bithell will be back on his #4 Precision / Maxxis Tires Suzuki in two weeks. The seventh round of the GNCC will be held in Masontown, West Virginia.
