Default It never hurts to ask

Our warranty is two years for any manufacturers defect. If you got in a wreck and need replacement parts or want a different color to the can, just ask, we're more than reasonable in that regard.

Most common is lost alen screws and end caps. Our return rate is less than 1%, but you can get an ocasional crack in the aluminum mounting bracket or a broken head pipe. Theres a lot of people running it wide open out there!

Kevin,

I have a question regarding my HMF slip on for my 02 Grizzly 660.
Instead of reiterating it all, I'll post an email I sent to Dan@hmfengineering.com as I'm curious as to what HMF will do for me in this situation.

Please note, this email was sent last week, and I have not heard anything back yet, which is a touch frustrating. Thanks for any direction you can provide me.

EMAIL:

"Hello Dan,

I bought an HMF exhaust last April (or close to then) and for the most part have been pleased with it's performance, looks and functionality. Although on several occasions the canister mounting bolt has fallen out due to vibration, I cannot attribute this to your product, moreso to my Grizzly being a vibrating monster. I have since fixed this issue by installing a longer bolt, flat washer, lock washer and two nuts on the inside of the mount.
Maybe something to consider when shipping out future exhausts for Grizzly 660's.

Last weekend I was trail riding with some friends and the end cap managed to come loose and it stripped 2 of the 3 mounting holes into the canister. I also lost my Spark Arrestor in the process. I did purchase the quiet core, but have not used it since many others I spoke to on ATVing forums have complained the back pressure was just too much and their end caps had too fallen out.

I purchased HMF for one primary reason. I heard the customer service was excellent.
It has been my experience that this statement is quite true. I could not be happier with your company's customer support, and have recommended this pipe to EVERY other Grizzly 660 owner who has requested info about pipes. I even recommended an HMF pipe to a riding buddy for his Prairie 650, without any personal experience with that pipe, based solely on your reputation. He is going to purchase the Eco model when it is available.

In any case, I don't know if any of this damage falls under any sort of warranty, but I'm curious what HMF is willing to do to help rectify this issue with me. I have a July 4th ride coming up and I would hate to have to remove the exhaust and replace the stock one (due to jetting, etc).

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. I anticipate satisfaction with HMF, which has become the norm, and hope to continue to purchase and recommend your products in the future.

Thank you,

Chris Chandler

We can get you hooked back up for $10 plus S/H.

Turndown, screws and spark arrester. Good deal for a good customer.

Thanks for the support!

The turn down is the aluminum end cap. Also, sorry about not getting back to your e-mail. We had outlook issues and for a while it was not showing that I had any new e-mails in my inbox.

Should any color Locktite products be used on the end cap allen screws? I bought my exhaust from parts dealer, will it be registered under my name incase I need to contact someone for a warranty issue?

All orders are stored in the computer and as long as we can trace it through you or your dealer you are covered for two years. Just a small dab of any color loctite will keep those screws in.
