Outlander: Spring or Clamp Mount?
In 2008, Can-Am developed two different versions of the Outlander 800 and Outlander 800 MAX's. The difference between each of the models effects which exhaust you need to properly install it on your bike. One model of the Can Am Outlander 800 uses a spring to attach the exhaust to the bike. The other model of the Can Am Outlander uses a clamp to attach the exhaust.
You must check your machine to determine if you have a spring or clamp mount before buying an aftermarket exhaust.
Spring Mount: The Spring mount version of the Can Am Outlander 800 has 2 springs that are used to attach the exhaust to the quad.
Clamp Mount: The Clamp mount version of the Can Am Outlander 800 uses a clamp to fasten the HMF exhaust to the quad.
Once you have made sure which version of the Outlander you own, visit the Can Am page and select which version you need to purchase, clamp or spring.
