When it comes to midsize ATVs, the Honda® Rancher 420 has been the choice of many riders for decades. The Honda® Rancher features a responsive, 420cc, single-cylinder engine that is liquid-cooled and electronically fuel injected. As the perfect blend between power and functionality, the Rancher can get you moving down the trail pretty quickly while having all the features of a full-size utility quad. Our exhaust systems have been tested for years on the Rancher, so developing a front bumper for the Honda Rancher seemed to suit.
Defender Front Bumper
In 2020, the HMF Equipment lineup made it's way to the popular Honda Rancher 420. For a number of years, HMF has built countless exhaust systems for the Honda Rancher 420, so we were very familiar with this midsize ATV. Like our SXS and UTV bumpers, the HMF Defender HD Front Bumper for the Rancher is built from .095" steel tubing, fits up to a 3500 lb winch, and is a durable, front bumper that's ideal for riders looking to add front end protection with extra functionality.
The HD Front Bumper works with ATV Fairleads that have 4-7/8" hole spacing, with room to install a 12" LED Light on top. With great aesthetics and increased functionality, the Defender Front Bumper makes for an incredible addition to the front of the Rancher 420.

As a stock machine, the Honda® Rancher 420 is a single-piece full system. Since that was the case, we developed a two-piece full system that really compliments the 420cc liquid-cooled fuel-injected OHV engine with a deep, aggressive sound and solid performance gains. Available in the Performance, Titan, and Swamp Series, you can expect a 2-4 increase in horsepower and 2-3lb of torque. The Performance Series picked up nearly 4 horsepower with nearly 3lb of torque.
The Titan-QS, and Swamp Series picked up 2 horsepower with 2lb of torque, and the Titan-XL, and Swamp-XL Series picked up 3 horsepower with 3lb of torque. At idle, the Performance, Titan-XL, and Swamp-XL are 2-4 dB louder than the stock muffler, while the Titan-QS and Swamp are only 1-2dB. The HMF Quiet Core can drop the volume roughly 1-2 dB more.
