Finally, Honda® made its appearance to the sports side by side world with its Talon 1000R/X. Featuring a 999c engine, dual-clutch transmission, Fox shocks, and sport SxS Hill Start Assist, the Honda Talon features everything you'd expect from Honda®. Once we got our grips on it, however, we were able to develop exhaust systems that increase performance and sound, with off-road equipment designed to protect and serve a function.
Dual Full System - Performance & Titan Series
The 4" aluminum Performance Series picks up 9 hp and 4 ft-lbs of torque while reducing the weight of the entire exhaust system by 10 lbs. The 5" stainless steel Titan series is available in our QS (quiet) and XL (loud) internal core design, picking up 7.5 horsepower and 3.8 torque The Titan series reduces the weight of the entire exhaust system by 5 lbs. The Performance and Titan XL Full systems are 6 dB louder than stock at idle, while the Titan QS is 4 dB louder than stock at idle. The dual center exit design protects the entire system within the frame of the vehicle and produces an amazing sound and look.
Slip On System - Titan Series
The 5" stainless steel Titan Slip On System retains a similar layout as the stock exhaust while still retaining the signature HMF™ design. The Slip On System picks up 3 hp and 3 ft-lbs of torque and reduces the weight of the exhaust system by 9 lbs. The Titan XL Slip On system is 5 dB louder than stock at idle, and the Titan QS is only 2 dB above stock.
Defender HD Front Bumper
The HMF™ Defender HD Front Bumper for the Honda® Talon 1000R/X is constructed from .095” wall steel tubing and not only protects the front of the machine, but also offers an integrated winch mount plate. The bumper also comes with a 3/16” aluminum skid plate with a cutout to mount a winch fairlead. The bumper works with UTV fairleads with 6” mounting hole spacing. LED lights may also be mounted on the bumper (see mounting options). All necessary hardware and instructions are included. Available color options will match with the manufacturer’s color scheme.
Defender LT Front Bumper
The HMF™ Defender LT Front Bumper for the Honda® Talon 1000R/X is a durable, lightweight front bumper that's ideal for riders looking to add front end protection without a lot of weight. Constructed from .095" wall steel tubing, the Defender LT features a universal light bar mount on top (see mounting options). If you're running a winch, the SkidPlate features Fair Lead holes that will fit a standard 6" Fair Lead (sold separately). The bumper works with UTV fairleads that have 6" mounting hole spacing.
Exo Bars
The HMF™ Exo Bars for the Honda® Talon 1000R/X offer an extra layer of protection and reinforcement to the front of the machine. Constructed from .095” wall steel tubing, the Exo Bars are designed to work like an exoskeleton, linking the HMF™ Defender HD Front Bumper and the factory roll cage together for additional protection and strength. Ideal for owners looking for the ultimate strength and protection, the Exo Bars install easily between the HMF™ Defender HD Front Bumper and the factory cage with the included hardware. No additional, cutting, welding, or modification is required to install, and will not interfere with hood removal. Available color options will match the manufacturer’s color scheme.
Defender Rear Bumper
The HMF™ Defender Rear Bumper for the Honda® Talon 1000R/X is constructed from .095” wall steel tubing and powder coated for the ultimate protection for the rear of the Honda® Talon. The rear bumper easily mounts to the frame of the vehicle and provides the strength and protection to handle even the most demanding situations. It has been specifically designed to work with both stock and HMF™ exhaust systems and the color options available will match the manufacturer’s scheme.
Rear Tailgate
The Tailgate from HMF™ is designed to work on the Honda® Talon 1000R/X equipped with the HMF™ Defender Rear Bumper. Constructed from .095" steel, the tailgate swings open 90 degrees for ease of access and features a wingnut to securely close the tailgate during operation. You simply need a basic set hand tools and it requires no permanent modifications to the stock frame.
Rear Cargo Rack
The HMF™ Rear Cargo Rack for the Honda® Talon 1000R/X is a functional component that adds protection and versatility to the Honda® Talon 1000 R/X rear. Constructed from lightweight aluminum, the Rear Cargo Rack acts as a tailgate so you can strap down cargo and carry it from one destination to another, getting you exactly where you need to go.

Rock Sliders
The HMF™ Rock Sliders for the Honda® Talon 1000R/X provide protection against side impact against rocks, trees, and other trail obstructions. Constructed from .095” wall steel tubing the HMF™ Rock Sliders are heavy duty and look great with the machine. The rock sliders mount to existing points on the vehicle’s frame and come with all the necessary hardware and instructions.
Spare Tire Rack
The HMF™ Spare Tire Rack is designed to work on the Honda® Talon 1000R/X. Constructed from .095" steel, the rack features a flat plate to mount up to a 32" tire or our Rear Cargo Rack Basket (not included). The included 2" wide nylon ratchet strap easily and securely keeps the tire in place on the Talon. Basic hand tools are required for installation and no permanent modifications to the frame or roll cage are required.
Overhead Storage Tray
The HMF™ Overhead Storage Tray for the Honda® Talon 1000R/X is constructed from 1/8" high quality aluminum offering additional room for storage on the interior. The tray mounts directly in the stock location and you simply need a basic set hand tools to install.
