Exhaust Description

The Yamaha® YFZ 450 is available as a Slip-On or Full System in the Performance and Competition exhausts.  The Competition Full Exhaust picked up roughly 6 more horse power and 4lbs of torque.  The Performance Series is available in manufacturers colors, and Competition exhaust includes 3 removable inserts to adjust power and sound levels according to your riding area.  

Note: The HMF Full Exhaust system has welded tabs that are designed to be used with the OEM Heat Shield

Fuel Tuning is absolutely required when installing an HMF Exhaust on this machine. Failure to tune the engine can cause excessive damage to the exhaust system and engine, while voiding the warranty on your exhaust and possibly on your machine. (check with local dealer). See the tuning settings below for the proper fuel tuning solution on your machine.

Slip on & Full: No Air Box Lid
165 Mikuni Large Main Jet. Move the washer to the bottom of the needle.

Slip on & Full: Air Box Lid On
Stock Main Jet. Move the washer to the bottom of the needle.
