Exhausts

The HMF 2-year warranty applies to manufacturing defects only. Any exhaust that is damaged by misuse, incorrect installation, modification, incorrect air/fuel mixture, impact or crash damage will not be covered by the warranty. Any exhaust that is not covered by the warranty can be repaired by HMF at the customer’s expense.

Shipping damage must be reported to HMF within 1 week of receipt. Shipping damage is not the responsibility of HMF. HMF will assist you in filing a claim with the shipper so that you may be reimbursed for the damage.

HMF will not be responsible for any damage caused to the exhaust or any other component due to incorrect air/fuel mixture. It is the end customer’s responsibility to ensure that their machine is properly tuned.

All exhaust must be free of all mud & debris or a $30 cleaning fee will be charged.

Equipment

HMF Engineering warrants the HMF Equipment product line for one year from the date of purchase. Warranty coverage is limited to manufacturing defects only. Typical wear and breakage does not apply to the limited product warranty. If the product shows evidence of usage or installation contrary to product descriptions or instructions, subjection to improper handling/packaging, or abuse, the limited product warranty becomes invalid.

Any product received and found to be damaged, faulty, or missing components must not be installed and reported to HMF Engineering within one week of receipt. Shipping damage is not the responsibility of HMF. HMF will assist customers in filing a claim with the shipper so that you may be reimbursed for the damage.

The liability to HMF Engineering for losses or damages out of any cause whatsoever is limited to repair or replacement of the product(s), or at our own discretion, a refund of the purchase price. HMF Engineering shall not be liable for any consequential or incidental damages. Some states do not allow for the exclusion or limitation of consequential or incidental damages, so the above exclusion or limitation may not apply to you.

Warranty Procedure

To start a warranty claim please contact HMF Customer Service. We will assist you to validate your warranty claim and answer any questions you may have. Please have photos of the HMF product showing the defect or failure as our staff may request photos before proceeding further. Valid proof of purchase must be provided showing the product was purchased within the appropriate HMF warranty period. Failure to provide valid proof of purchase may result in denial of warranty coverage. Valid forms of proof of purchase include but are not limited to printed invoices, email order confirmations, work orders, etc.

Included with the item(s) being sent for warranty coverage it is required that a copy of valid proof of purchase, and a printed and filled out copy of the HMF Repair Request form be included with the shipment. The HMF Repair Request form can be found at the top header of the HMF website, www.hmfracing.com labeled ‘repack/repairs’.

For domestic warranty claims (excluding AK and HI) the customer is responsible for shipping the warrantable product to HMF. HMF Engineering will ship repaired or replacement products back to the customer free of charge using shipping methods of its own discretion.

For non-domestic warranty claims the customer is responsible for shipping the warrantable product to HMF as well as return shipping from HMF back to the customer. Unless a return shipping label is provided, HMF will contact the customer to collect for return shipping costs using current international shipping rates. HMF is not responsible for any duties, customs fees, taxes, etc. that may be applicable to return shipments.
