Warranty Information

HMF Engineering Inc. warranties all exhaust systems for two years from the date of purchase for all manufacturing defects. For online warranty registration, visit www.hmfracing.com and fill out the form to ensure prompt service in the event of a warranty claim.

There is no warranty on exhaust pipes and mufflers with regard to any form of discoloration. Discoloration and bluing are caused by tuning characteristics (i.e. cam timing, carburetor jetting, over heating due to lack of packing and incorrect fuel/air mixture) and is not caused by a defect in manufacturing. HMF Engineering Inc. will not cover any item under warranty without valid proof of purchase.

If any HMF Engineering Inc. carbon fiber canister starts to discolor or blemish in any way, arrangements must be made immediately to return the canister for inspection. Do not wait to cause further damage to the canister and void the warranty. This policy will be STRICTLY enforced due to the cost of carbon fiber. Damage resulting from impact will not be covered under warranty for any reason.

HMF Engineering Inc. warranties the HMF Optimizer for two years from the date of purchase for all manufacturing defects. The Customer must provide a valid proof of purchase with every warranty claim. Any modifications made to the Optimizer (cut wires, soldered wires, excessive water damage, etc.) will void the warranty completely.

Before shipping any item back to HMF Engineering Inc., you must first complete our online warranty/repair form at www.hmfracing.com. Any exhaust system sent to HMF Engineering Inc. without a copy of the form inside the box will be refused by our shipping department. HMF Engineering Inc. does not warranty the cost of shipping to HMF Engineering Inc. This includes and is not limited to duties, taxes and other transportation costs. Any package shipped to us with unpaid duties will be refused.

HMF Engineering Inc. will contact the customer once the package has been received and inspected by the warranty manager. At that time, the customer will be contacted and advised of the warranty status. If the exhaust is not covered under warranty, the customer will be advised on repair cost. The time frame for warranty work is dependent on the current production schedule and can take up to 15 days.
